On Saturday, May 15 six members of the club worked with the Boy Scouts of Troop 267 to finish the installation of storm water inlet markers, a District Grant Project.
In conjunction with Boy Scouts from Troop 267, six Rotarians from the Lancaster Hempfield Club installed 100 storm water inlet markers in West Hempfield Township on May 15. The Township had requested our help, and the project was consistent with the new area of focus in Rotary, concern for the environment. People sometimes put hazardous waste into the storm water inlets, which is harmful to the environment. The markers will alert them that "only rain goes down the drain." We had beautiful weather and we thank the Scouts for joining us on this project. Funds from a District Grant were used to purchase the markers.
