The club delivered 40 Goodie Bags to quarantined residents at Homestead Village in August.
The club was looking for a service project to benefit those most affected by covid-19, and Fran Haldeman came up with the idea of goodie bags for nursing home residents. Every club member purchased something for the bags-from magazines to magnifying glasses-at their own expense, and we assembled the bags outdoors socially distanced with masks on. The residents at our local nursing home, the Apostles Center at Homestead Village, were thrilled to receive some junk food, things to read, puzzles to do, and other useful items.
